Symphony Placements Throws Holiday Party to Celebrate 10 Years!
Symphony Placements held their annual holiday party on Saturday, December 5th at the Hunt Valley Golf Club in Hunt Valley, MD. This year’s festivities had special meaning as 275 employees, family, and friends gathered to celebrate Symphony Placements’ 10 year anniversary!
Founded in 2006 by CEO Wanda Smith, the company has been on the Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Companies for the past three years. Wanda decided to start the company after working for 18 years in the staffing industry. She felt compelled to create an organization that could provide her clients with a consistent, relationship-based, service approach. Her entrepreneurial spirit led the organization through challenging times, but her team has consistently overcome these challenges and grown! Symphony Placements is certified by the State of Maryland and Baltimore City as a women-owned MBE/DBE/WBE Company with headquarters in Baltimore County, Maryland.
In addition to celebrating ten years in business, Symphony Placements has also utilized the annual holiday party as a fundraiser. CEO Wanda Smith explains, “The holiday party provides all of us time to relax and reflect on our accomplishments over the past year. More importantly, it’s a time to be grateful for our family, friends, and good health. So, it’s fitting that the party has also served as a fundraiser for Symphony Placement’s favorite charity, The Casey Cares Foundation, for the past four years.”
Guests join in the celebration by providing pajamas for the children, gift cards, and donations. This year guests donated $7500 and 350 pairs of pajamas to the cause. In addition, Wanda’s son, Al Smith, CEO of Awards Construction, donated over $26,000 in Legos™, with the help of Target & Home Depot. These donations are invaluable to helping The Casey Cares Foundation provide lasting memories for ill children and their families.
Symphony Placements would like to thank all those who celebrated these accomplishments with us and who joined us in supporting The Casey Cares Foundation. This is what being a part of the community is all about!
